What is a happening to the wonderful summer we are supposed to be having!.. I've spend more time indoors that out, and after the thunderstorm last night, today is a bleak day, good to be indoors and catch up on the blogs I've neglected and create a few cards, as I've quite a few birthdays in the next few weeks, so I've made this sweet birthday card, papers are from MME Lost and Found - blush, I've loving these papers, that I really don't want to chomp into them (LOL), sentiment is GK, and I've used Heartfelt Creations posy patch dies to create my flower, added a bit of antique lace.

My New Grandson

Hi Bloggers,

I know I've not been around, but things have been quite hectic over the last 10 weeks, with my daughters pregnancy, she's been in and out of hospital, and I've been minding her other two boys, whilst going to work and running two households.... anyway all's good now, I'd like to introduce you to Mason John, born 4 January, little brother to Jack 6 and Cooper 3, 2 weeks premature, and weighing in at 8'11, good size, hate to think what he would have weighted full term!

I didn't even manage to send out a single christmas card, and today is the first time back on the blog, and I have to say it took me a while to get into it!... now off to get a little inspiration.

Hope you all had a wonderful christmas with family and friends...

I've just had a wonderful holiday in Japan, must be one of the cleanest countries I've ever visited, and the weather was just wonderful, we travelled on the Bullet train through the country, and the trees are just starting to change colour, and it was just gorgeous.. so many stories to tell, here's a quick one... there was a couple from Tokyo staying in the same Ryokan as us, and he got us drinking sake, we drank it hot, cold then sweet ... well all I can say is it was a long way down to my bed, which was on the floor!

Ok, onto my card, this card I created for my daughters baby shower, she has two boys, and I think she might have another, so thought I would give something with a little pink, I crated the cute bib using my,
nestibilities. As I've only just got back didn't have time to do the digi.

Good Morning/Evening!

Well another weekend that went too fast!... The weather was just gorgeous, spent time in the garden, but the pool is still a little too cold for a swim, I did try!... I'm on a little roll at the minute with Christmas Cards, I've so many to make... and I don't want to buy any! This is 14 x 14cm card, dp is Basic Grey - Eskimo Kisses, I love all this range, my stamp is Stampin Up, I've embossed in silver, and added ribbon and snowflakes with a touch of glitter.

Well the week has started off quite well, its 'hump day' hope it continues, I've commenced shooting a new show 'Dripping In Chocolate', which is a telemovie for BBC/UK TV. Cast are great, David Wenham, and Louise Lombard who is English, but based in the US.... both are so far so good (LOL).

There is a new challenge over at Scrapbook Boutique, and this is the inspiration photo! .. come along and play!

I've had such a great weekend went up to Coffs Harbour for my nieces Baby Shower, High Tea, it was just beautiful, and had such a great time catching up with my nieces and great nieces, I don't get to see them that often, they have grown into such gorgeous adults, and little toddlers.

Now my card was created for the Baby Shower, using my nestibilities and punches, added a little bling and bingo.. finished...

It was such a lovely weekend, my grandson has his 6th birthday party at my place, and his theme was Pirates.. and wow 12 little pirates running around, such a lovely afternoon. The party finished, we cleaned up, and bingo the skies opened up, and its not stopped raining!.

Its the beginning of a brand new week, and that means it time for another Make it Monday, I've created this card for a dear work colleague who had to terminate her baby at 22 weeks, and after visiting 6 specialists, they all said it's the only thing to do, its such a devastating time for her, family and friends.

Roses Challenge - Sept

Ok its the end of the month, and that means it time to reveal our challenge for the Roses! The month of August was so busy and so much going on in my life that I didn't complete my challenge, so I've incorporated August - Olga's challenge to use flowers and September - Betty's challenge to use Ribbon.

I've used heartfelt creation Lialacs/Posy bouquet pre cut set, stamped on card twice, with Stampin Up concord crush, then stamped again and cut out, then stamped heartfelt creations posy patch flower pre cut set, with the posy patch spellbinder die run through the cuttle bug 16 times! coloured using the same ink, popped my focal image up on foam dots added my ribbon, add of course glitter.. love my glitter marta stewart butterfly!

The Roses are at truly talented bunch of crafters!

Hi Blogging Buddies,

First of all i would like to apologise for not getting around to visiting all blogs, but have been away on business and didn't take the computer, just the ipad, and it was too damn slow, but I promise I will be in full swing this week. I've also elected not to choose a pick of the week because it wouldn't be fair, and I'm sure you all agree.

Now this card looks better with the naked eye, I just didn't seem to be able to photograph it as the gold is too shiny, and I just kept playing with the settings on the camera, and this is the best I came up with.... sorry ... need photography lessons (LOL), the dp looks pink!... oh well you really just have to believe me. My stamp is Gina K, as is the sentiment, and I've embossed iin gold....

I went to a friends 50th birthday on Saturday afternoon 130, and didn't end up leaving until 10pm and there were still loads of people, some I've not seen for years so it was lovely to catch up, the weather was lovely until the sun went down, we started the fires, and one big bomb fire, we were all rugged up like little wooly bears!.

Make It Monday Linky Party

Hello Bloggers,

Well what a week of torrential rain Sydney copped!, and it thru me in a spin!... as you know I'm making a period western, and were supposed to be on location all week. I bought the crew back into studio mid morning, only for them to ring and say they had some of the trucks bogged... another nightmare trying to get tow trucks to pull them out and the horses were wet... what did they want me to blow dry them! (LOL)... Well when they finally arrived, we manage to get three scenes shot, but are now three quarters of a day behind... humm well I made a decision to stay in studio all week, (thank goodness I did), so we are all madly rescheduling, post phoning actors, then when we think we can relax, we find out our leading lady has gone to NZ, so quickly put her on a flight back, then we find another is on the slopes in Jindabyne skiing and he doesn't drive, so hired a chauffeur driven car to pick him up and return him back when filming is finished... its a 6hr drive each way. As we have such a schedule to stick to, it means the crew will have to work next Saturday, and I hate doing this to them, as they work extremely long hours in horrendous conditions. So as you can see... I didn't go to NZ.... too busy!

Well onto my card, its clean and simple, my image is Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch Clusters, inked up with Big & Juicy - foliage ink, stamped directly to the card, the used my brayer on a scrap and used same ink, die cut the flower, added a button, and bingo finished, this will be in the post in the next few days as a 'thinking of you', to my aunt, who is not well.

Good Morning/Evening!

I had such a 'punchy' weekend, weather was miserable, didn't feel like stamping, so did a winter clean of the craft room, could believe how many bits of scrap dp I had/have (LOL), so in the waste paper bin they went, the faster they went in, the quicker they came out, as I remembered seeing a tutorial for making pinwheels, took me so long to find it, I nearly gave up!... here it is - Dawns Stamping Studio, has a great tutorial, and what a great way to use up scraps! I ended up making a few of these, here are two of them.... i didn't have the right size punch, but one smaller so I just adjusted.

Hi Bloggers,

I've been really busy of late, with family, my daughter is having terrible morning sickness, and on top of that has been sick with the flu, and helping my mother with her 98 year old father! He's in terrible pain and there is nothing they can do, I had dinner with him the other night and we talked for ages about the good old times, I remember spending my holidays with my grandparents, and he used to take me out in the boat fishing, we would come back with lots of fish, then he had me gutting and scaling them.... wouldn't do it now!

Well onto my card, isn't this the cutest little image, its Jack and his wagon, from Lady Bug Crafts, I've coloured in copics, and my dp is cosmo cricket - silly sam, I used my new Martha Steward punch - infinite loops trim.

Roses Challenge June!

Hi ya,

Yes I know I'm really late with my Roses Challenge for June, but its better late than never, it was my turn to host this month, and I challenged the Roses to anything but a card, I've had my project made for a few weeks, actually I gave it to my Aunty last week as a little gift, she is just about to start chemotherapy, and I suggested she write a little notes on her progress, just keep a little diary.

Well if you haven't already, please go and check out the Roses, they have done some tremendous creations, and this month 'July', its Connies turn to host the challenge, and its a good one!.... you will all have to wait till the end of the month, to see what we all come up with!

Hi Bloggers,

Well I made this card a few weeks ago, and have not got around to posting it, so here it is, I'm very pleased at the way it has turned out... I used Heartfelt Creations 306 Posy Patch Garden Delights, stamped my image, clear embossed, them coloured we ink chalks, cut out, and attached to my swiss embossed matt, using the matching die template to cut my flowers out, added a little sparkle to the centres of each, my butterfly is martha stewart punch, my dp is Butterfly Garden collection by Pink Paislee.

I've more to post... so better get them organised!

Good Morning/Evening,

Well I've been having terrible computer problems, I use my computer for work, and our IT department reset all the passwords, and since I've been away, I had now idea they were resetting all passwords, all I knew is I couldn't get into my computer, so when I returned from Melbourne, into IT it went, yes they not only changed my work password, but deleted all others, so I've had to reset.... still having problems this weekend, I'm not happy!

My cute image is from Delicious Doodles - Valentine Teddy, coloured with copics, added some hearts coloured with glitter, ... isn't he cute...

Good Morning,

It's Monday the beginning of a brand new week, and it will be busy week for me, my daughter is heading to europe for her uni semester break, so I've been a busy bee, helping her get everything in order, but hey they don't listen, I tried to give her a small first aid kit.. she thinks I'm nuts, but I've snuck it in her bag (LOL). I will miss her ordering me around, what's for dinner - Not.. but I will miss her company, she is my baby, and we are really close. Ok, onto my card, image is from The Greeting Farm - Anya Hats Off, coloured with copics, and my dp is from Cupcakes Cards & Crafts, PollyAnna. I've used two punches, I love the daisy punch one of my favorites, punched out a few flowers, added a bit of bling.

Oh its still raining and miserable! I really don't want to go to work today, would love to stay home in my pj's... well better hurry, have to go and battle the traffic!

This card was made in a hurry, I needed a card to send off to my nephew for his birthday, and he surfs rain, hail or sunshine, and thought this stamp from The Greeting Farm - Surfer Ian was just perfect, coloured with copics, and dp is Kisercraft, seaside collection. We are 13 days into winter, its so cold, ... I know some of you have snow/blizzards, and I shouldn't complain, but my body is not used to these cold temperatures, I went out and purchased a pair of ugg boots, wow they sure do the trick, they say 'if your feet are warm, your warm all over'! It a long weekend ... yippee... get today off work.... I never get to spend much time in the craft room, and since I'm home alone... this is what I'm doing.

Men ....

Good Morning/Evening,

After the week I just had at work, I'm so drained. I'm producing a 13pt series for channel seven, which is a period western, and its way too dangerous to film with all the rain and with all the stunts and doubles on horses galloping through rough terrain and down mountains, so we called it quits, and I bought the down rats (the crew) back into studio, but we have now run out of scenes to shoot, so I pray that the weather fines up! Anyway enough of work... I had a fun day playing in the craft room on Sunday, had a really big clean up, I had so many scraps and the pile was just growing, so I said a said goodbye to them.... trash they are now!

This image is just perfect for a male, so I thought I would get a head start on Fathers Day, my stamp is Gone Fishing from Wild Rose Studio, coloured with prismacolour pencils and gamsol, dp is MME. I would like to enter the following challenges.

Roses Challenge Month Of May!

Hi Bloggers,

Oh my goodness, its the end of May already, this year is flying by just too quickly! Kym set us a wonderful challenge this month, which was to make a tissue box card, well I had all these wonderful ideas, but had no idea where to start, so first thing was to purchase some tissues, which sat on the craft table for a few weeks, then all of a sudden, the brain went into overload... yippee... I know what to do, so I set to work, out came the tape measure, took all the measurements, then cut my craft card, used the score pal, well the cover was complete, but I realised my tissue box didn't have a whole in the top, it was on the side, so I dismantled the box, made my own hole using my nestibilities, as well as cutting the dp at the same time. Once it was all put together I set upon decorating it.... my dp is from Stampin Up, as is the punch ..... and this is how it ended up.....

Hope you like it! Now it's my turn to set the challenge for the month of June... thinking cap on!

Roses Challenge No.15

Hi Blogging Buddies!

I was Sue's turn turn to host the month of April's challenge for the 'Roses', and she asked us to use fancy folds. I knew exactly what I wanted to do, I've always wanted to try to make a tri shutter card, not sure weather you would call this 'fancy folds', but there are plenty of folds. I used the tutorial over at splitcoast stampers, my dp is Stampin Up, the lovely big flower on the front is HFC die, matha stewart butterfly punch, spell binders heart dies, and my daisy punch... yes a lot of punches and die cuts. I've got the boys overnight, they are growing up so quickly, Jacks only been at school for 1 term, and I can really notice how much he has grown. Coooper is only two and becoming really cheeky! ... favorite word ... No.... Well they are bathed and fed, and are now in bed, so I get to do my post, which I was hoping to get done earlier. It was another lovely day today in Sydney, I went to the local nursery to get some seedlings, as I'm going to start a vegetable patch!... and I don't have a green finger, even though I love playing in the garden, this is where I've been all day until the sun went down, which is early now we have lost daylight savings... oh I really miss it, so I came in and created this card, you can never have too many birthday cards. Good Morning/Evening,

Where did that week go?... anyone know?.... so glad it went so fast, its the weekend ... yippee! My little grandson 'Jack', has taken up soccer, I didn't make it to his first game, but he proudly rang me to say he scored a goal, so today I went to watch, he had the biggest crowd, all his grand parents and great grandparents, well he was on fire, scoring 3 goals for his team and 1 for the other team, as they were short of players, it was funny, they are only 5 years old and they just run around is circles, we had to keep telling them 'the other way'. Anyway onto my card, I wanted something spring as it felt like a spring day today, not an autumn one! Good morning/Evening!

I've been quite busy of late, with nothing in particular, just stuff!.... we lost daylight savings on the weekend... and I love coming home from work when its light... now have to travel in the dark.... yuk! ... its a sign to close the pool down to next season, and start getting out the woolies! winter will be here soon. I think the next thing on my list is photography!... wish I could take good photos.... anyone have any tips!

Roses Challenge No. 14

Morning/Evening,

I received the most beautiful cards from the Roses, for my birthday, you are all truly amazing card makers! so a BIG thank you. I spent my birthday, with my two beautiful daughters, adorable mother, and two gorgeous grandsons, then spent the evening with my buddy, Sue 'Rose'.

Now, it's that time of the month to reveal our 'Roses' Challenge, and this month was hosted by Mary Anne Rose, and as spring is heading there way, on the other side of the planet (LOL), the theme was 'Spring'. I used my flower punch, and punched out lots of flowers from my scrap bin, put a sprinkle in the centre of each flower, sentiment is Gina K, added a ribbon and bow, and yes there is the butterfly... I'm wearing this punch out!!

Good Morning/Evening,

It's only a week to go before we commence filming a new television drama series 'Wild Boys', which is a period western. Wow, its been really busy the last month, as all the cast have been in full horse training, just learning to stay on a horse, slowly into a trot, now a gallop!... they are all doing extremely well. As well as them, we have had full time stunt training, as the hero cast won't be doing there own stunts, so they have to be doubled.... what a pain this is for costume, as they have to make doubles of everything!, I think it will be a very successful show..

When I finished making this card I was in two minds weather to put happy birthday, or just leave it? ... what do you think... I used american craft card, then embossed with swiss dots, my dp is scraps from my craft bin, and the image is The Greeting Farm - Hats Off, coloured with copics, and the flower is from Joans Garden, Heartfelt creations, with a brad in the centre.

Hope your enjoying the weekend, such a gorgeous day today in Sydney. I went and had a quick visit at the heritage market at the local RSL, it wasn't overly crowed, but quite a few people, had a little wonder around, and came across a stand with hand made cards. They were ok, but the ones I see around blog land have so much more detail.

Ok, onto my card, soon as I saw this digi image from Elisabeth Bell - Little Best Friends, I put it in the shopping basket straight away, I just love this cute little image, that I'm made two cards.

Hi ya blogging buddies,

Its the weekend ... yippee.... doing a little dance.... get to do what ever I want! I had both the grandsons this morning, I took Jack to base ball, then we went home had a bit to eat, and they played in and out of the house, whilst I did the ironing... now all up todate. The boys were collected early, so I headed down stairs and finished off this card I started during the week. Image is from The Greeting Farm - Miss Anya Hats off, I've coloured in copics, punched out a few flowers, dp is my minds eye - stella rose.

Hi ya,

Called into my local craft store today, only to find everyone working, boxing goodies, getting ready for the craft expo coming up, was there for a while chatting..... Dina the store owner has just come back from the CHA expo in the states, and wow did she have some new goodies, she is now stocking Heartfelt creations, and with all the new stock, you really couldn't move, but she did mention they are looking for new premises, and she thinks she might have found some... fingers crossed!

I don't know about you, but I never seem to have any male cards in my stash, so I've created this one using, digi image from Mo's Digital Pencil, coloured with copics and paper is DCWV - all about boys. I would like to enter the following challenges.

Hello!
Quick post today, want to get to work early, so I can leave early, and call into see my father, as its his birthday!.... The challenge this week at Fussy & Fancy, is they would like to see paper piecing and embossing. I've created this quilted card, punched out 3o, 3/4" squares, once arranged, I glued into place, then put through one of my cuttlebug embossing folders, humm .... sounds easy, to be quite honest, its very fiddly.

Can you believe it, its the end of February already! Patti Nelson, hosted this months 'Roses' challenge, and its to create a monochromatic card. I got a little carried away, as I love the dp from Cosmo Cricket - Mitten Weather, that I created 6 cards, I'm getting a head start on christmas! Good Morning/Evening,

I went and watched 'Jack', my grandson play baseball, and he got player of the match, he was so excited, if only he knew that they all take it in turns. I totally forgot that they were back burning in the valley and around the home, so lucky Holly was home and closed all the windows. So I arrived home, did a little house work, then headed to the craft room. This card is for my mother in-law for her birthday, I used the sketch from Annabelle's, stamp is from Gina K, Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, sentiment is gina k and dp is basic grey - kioshi. I coloured my image with copics. I would like to enter the following challenges:

Hi Everyone!

Today is Sue's birthday, she is not only a good friend, but my crafting bud, we share the same passion. Before she got into paper craft, she was a quilter, she has hand made some of the most beautiful quilts, she also has done some amazing cross stitch. We met through work, and we would go fabric shopping in our lunch break, go home that evening, run up an outfit and wear to work the next day!... well that was some years back, won't say how many as it will show up our age!.... I only get my sewing machine out maybe once a year now.

Soon as I saw this tutorial over at splitcoast stampers on how to make a quilted card, I knew I had to make this for Sue's birthday. It was fiddly but I think it turned out quite nice, what do you think?

Hello,

I know it might seem strange to a lot of people, but I really love my job, and I give it 100+% all the time, but there are times, like now I want the week to be over, 4 more days ... and counting! I can feel the tension in my shoulders, and I've a thumping headache, so I've booked in for a massage this weekend, and I think I will go sailing, with my buddies, and leave the world behind!

When I first saw these images, I didn't like them at all, then I saw a few cards, and started to fall in love with them, so just had to have em, I've made a few more cards, I took 3 to work to show the girls and sold them in a flash. So here are a few more I made, hope you like them.

Such a hot and humid weekend, did so much gardening that my mussels are sore, shouldn't be complaining, good exercise!.. then blobbed out in the pool... lovely way to cool down.

You have all probably noticed I've been making birthday cards, first you can never have enough and I've had a few requests. This little image I got from my blogging friend Alicia, oh you must go and check out her blog, she makes wonderful cards, and also runs Aussie Cards For Sale, she has asked me to join, so excited to be joining a talented bunch of ladies!

Oh back to my card, yes the image is .... , my dp is kaisercraft - class of 87 collection, sentiment is Stampin up, I used my cuttlebug embossing folder for the back ground, cut the image out with nestibilities labels 14, added a few flowers and gems and bingo finished! Boy Oh Boy!

I've never really wished a week away like last, the weekend couldn't have come fast enough. It has to be one of the hardest I think I've ever experienced, and will continue on for a few more days into next week I'm sure, I've never had to deal with bullying or sexual harassment in the work place, and unfortunately I know both parties well, so its extremely hard for me, so I've now asked the lawyers to get involved, as this is too draining on me.... and I thought my new job would be easy, how wrong was I. Well onto a better note, I created this cute little birthday card, my stamp is from LOTV - boy oh boy, dp is Kaisercraft - class of 87 collection and sentiment is from stampin Up. Sunday started off to be a lovely day, spent a few hours in the garden, filled up both green waste bins, then it started to sprinkle, but when it got a little heavy I knew it was time to head inside, take a shower and head downstairs to the craft room. I got to play for a few hours before dinner ... yippee. Today's card has been created using The Greeting Farm - Miss Anya Collection stamp, I just love these stamps, and have coloured with copics, dp is basic grey - lemonade, this has to be one of my favorite pads, added a bit of lace, a few flowers, and the sentiment is from Stampin Up. Sting In Concert

Hi Bloggers,

Just thought I would share a few photos taken last weekend, I went away last weekend to the Hunter Valley, to a small winery 'Hope Estate', which holds out door concerts in summer.
The Hunter valley is certainly one of Australia's most well known regions, and has produced many of the worlds recognised wines. There are over 120 wineries!, if you intend to visit a few wineries, I suggest a designated driver! thats what we did.... no I was not the driver!

It raining today in Sydney, I'm not complaining as we need it and I will be able to play in the craft room, once I've done a few things...

I don't want to be caught out this year like last, and leave my christmas cards to the last minute, so my challenge this year is to create a card every fortnight. This card I've created is for the ABC Christmas Challenge 'C' - Clean and Simple and you are to follow the sketch. My dp is cosmic cricket - mitten weather.

Hi blogging buddies,

I've now been in my new position for two weeks, and it was only today, that I felt that my office is now my little haven, I'm on the 9th of a 10 story building, and my office looks out over Sydney Harbour, I could just sit and stare all day, watching the activity on the harbour, I had to close the blinds today so I could get some work done (LOL)...next week all my pictures of the different shows I've worked on, will go up on the wall, then it will be complete...

Yes, I've not been able to connect to the internet at home this week, there has been a fault in the line, back at base, got home tonight, and was so excited it was back on, that I could communicate with you all ... yippee....
