THE NEW YORK FESTIVALS!

Hello,

I've a little bit of news to share with you all, which I'm quite excited about. I entered East West 101 - Season 2 into the New York Festival, not thinking we would have a chance, but when I got the call to say we had won gold, I was ecstatic, but had to keep this as a top secret (didn't even tell Sue, I think), so the two other producers Steve & Kris, travelled to New York to accept the award, I couldn't attend as I'm up to my neck filming another series at present, at the same time we were nominated for a Logies, which is the viewers choice, I suppose like the Oscars, I was supposed to travel to Melbourne for this, but I didn't want to do this either, as I thought we wouldn't have a chance as we were up against Packed to the Rafters with has 2.5 million viewers, Underbelly with 2.2 million viewers, these figures are big for us little Aussies, if you get 1.2 million your a winner, so I sat at home watching, and was blown off the lounge when they announced 'and the Logie goes to East West 101, well I felt so bad at first, then thought I'm so comfortable here in my PJ's, if I had of attended I would have had to wear some fluffy dress, high shoes, and probably end up with blisters all over my feet!

Also, we have torrential rain here today in Sydney....... and I'm up to my neck in rescheduling!

Until next time.

Summertime

Hello,

I've had such a busy day in the kitchen cooking, just made a beautiful vegetable soup and chicken curry, I was going to go into the garden, but its been sprinkling on and off all day, which gave me time to make this card for two challenges the first is for TMITA, and this weeks hostess is Nilla Berglie, and we can use any acquired image from Paper Cupcakes, and we are to take inspiration from this bouquet.I don't think I followed to well (LOL)!....

This is also for Crazy 4 Challenges No. 38, which is a sketch by Cindy Haffner.

I can't believe it, I've been blogging for 12 months, and have met some wonderful friends through my fingers (LOL), so thank you for stopping by and leaving me comments, some day I hope to get to meet you in person.

Until next time take care!

Lets Dance!

Good Morning,

I've been complaining about a sore shoulder for quite some time now, and on Monday I was in excruciating pain, so I made an appointment at the physiotherapist, I'm so lucky I went when I did, as they say I'm on the verge of frozen shoulder, something I've never heard, as I spend most of my day on a computer and phone, and with out really knowing it, I rest the phone between my ear and shoulder so I can still type, well that is a big big no no, I've lots of exercises to do, and I've been twice this week, and feel better already, so thought I would get into making a card for Our Creative Corner challenge, which is a sketch and Basic Grey, which is to use punches, also Mad for Markers, which is feathering, something I'm still getting the hang of. I just love the Whiff of Joy City Girl Collection, and this one is Dancing Willow, I've coloured her with copics, added star dust stickles and rhinestones to her necklace, DP is basic grey sugar rush, Martha Stewart punch.

Its great stamping weather this weekend, so hopefully, I will get a few more done!

TMITA - Spring

Good Morning,

Hope this finds you all well, I have my sister-in law down from Coffs Harbour this weekend, she's fallen asleep in front of the television, and I've headed straight for the craft room, to finish off this card for TMITA challenge and this week Sue Walsh is the hostess and she wants us to do a CAS card, and to use this image. So this is how it goes!

1. Clean: the design is uncluttered with lots of white or open space. Simple: having a clear focal point without a lot going on to detract from it.
OR
2. simple in design regardless of the number of embellishments or how long it takes to color, stitch or to use a special technique
OR
3. can be copied and mass produced fairly quickly… usually without a lot of coloring, layers, embellishments, tools and/or techniques

OR
4. any combination of the above

Better go and wake her up and put her to bed!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Happy Mothers Day!

Today I went on a family picnic, it was so lovely catching up with my Aunty, Uncle, cousins and there children, which I haven't seen for so long, there were about twenty of us, 5 generations, my grandfather is 97, and still has all his marbles! he only gets confused with names as there are so many young ones, even I do! Anyway, I don't have a card to show, but instead, I made the birdhouse for my daughter for mothers day, this is for her to hang her keys on, I left the centre empty so she can put a picture of her boys, I was going to put one of me, but I'm sure I only would have lasted a few minutes (LOL).... I made this in a class at my local craft supplier 'Catchy Crafts', only two of us showed up. Its a Kaiercraft kit, and I used Kaisercraft paper Devonshire Collection, just beautiful autumn colours, I used a matt mod podge as i didn't want it too glossy. Hope you like it!

Better run, as my younger daughter had to work today, and is taking me out for dinner!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Copic Certification Course

Hello World!

Yesterday Sue & I attended the first Copic Certification Course to be held in Australia, Sydney, and today its Melbourne. There were five tables of six, most of them store owners, there were only 4 or 5 of us who do it as a hobby. We were taught so much from how to choose the right paper for copics and blending, right through to airbrushing. There was so much to take in, that when I got home took an aspirin, had a bit of dinner, I read the Copic Certification Manual, this is going to be my new little bilbe!....

Well hopefully I will get to play on the weekend!

Yum ... Watermelon!

Well, I'm back with another card, this card is for Sassy Cheryl's challenge, and Judy is the hostess and we are to use a Sassy Cheryls image as the main part of the card, color the image in any colours, use any sketch,so I've used the sketch at Our Creative Corner, but you are to leave the rest white .... so its a white on white theme. I've used Sassy Cheryl's 'Watermelon Bee', coloured with prismacolor pencils and gamsol, I embossed the background, added a bow, few flowers and pearls. I'm also entering this into Annabelle Stamps Challenge, which is to include pearls on your project and basic grey challenge, which is clean with a splash of colour.

I hope to get another made before the weekend is out!

Until then!
