Love

Hello buddies!

This will be a quick post, as I've a busy day ahead, off to buy my little grandson Jack, his first pair of school shoes, he is so excited that he is starting school, school returns in the next few days, humm not looking forward to the traffic it brings. Then Im off to pick up mum and go and see my dad, who had is operation on Friday, and so far so good, fingers crossed, they think they got all the cancer, and he wont need chemo or radiotherapy.

Yesterday I quickly called into my local craft shop to say hi to the girls, as its been so long since I've seem them all, and had a good old natter, and they had 20% off all paper so grabbed a few sheets, then I saw they had a specials basket so I grabbed a few designer rhinestones. Its only a few weeks away before 'love will be in the air' (LOL)... should be every day, so I've created this cute Valentines day card, I've used craft card, my dp is minds eye, heart nestibilities which is popped up on pop dots, added the rhinestone sentiment, now how quick was that... very... so I made two exactly the same.

Make Some Noise!

Hi blogging buddies,

Well its nice to be home, and back in the craft room. Went back to work on Thursday, thank goodness it wasn't a full week, I was exhausted after just two days (LOL). I've caught up on all the domestic chores, now I've a bit of free time to play... yippee!

This card has been created using the Annabelle's Sketch, my stamp is also from Annabelle Stamps, and is Rockin Instrumental, papers are from Stampin Up, coloured with prismacolor pencils and I used the gold spica pen, added a few brads and sentiment.

Rising Waters Flood Appeal

As most of you know I've been traveling through South America for the last 5 weeks, it was a fellow Australian that I met on my travels that told me about the floods in Queensland, soon as I could get on a computer, I watched the ABC news, and I just couldn't believe what I was seeing, tears swelled up, as I put myself in their shoes, and what they have lost, and how long it will take to rebuild and how many have lost love ones. Now, Im catching up on blog land, and have come across a site 'Rising Waters Flood Appeal for Crafters' if you have time take a look and if you would like to help, that would be much appreciated. AUSTRALIA DAY....

Good morning/evening!

I arrived home last night, very exhausted, my body clock is all over the place, have been walking the house since 1am.... today is Australia Day, and we are going to celebrate with a BBQ!.... and of course I will be catching up with the family as I've not seen them for just over a month.... I will have a saw jaw by the end of the day!

A little history ..... On Australia Day we come together as a nation to celebrate what's great about Australia and being Australian. It's the day to reflect on what we have achieved and what we can be proud of in our great nation. It's the day for us to re-commit to making Australia an even better place for the future.

Australia Day, 26 January, is the anniversary of the arrival of the First Fleet of 11 convict ships from Great Britain, and the raising of the Union Jack at Sydney Cove by its commander Captain Arthur Phillip, in 1788.

I'm not going to rabbit on too much....

So glad to be home and proud to call Australia home!

Uruguay

Finally have found a computer, which is in english .....yippee... its been so hard navigating around in spanish. We are in Punta del Este, Uruguay, beautiful beaches, white sand, this is where the rich Brazillians come for there holidays.... reminds me of the Gold Coast in Queensland. Its been a long trip, but a fanstastic one, now looking forward to getting home to my own bed. But not looking forward to going back to work! .... Wonder weather my craft room has been missing me .. as i´ve been missing it...

Thought I would quickly drop in and let you all know I´m missing my craft room, but having a fantastic holiday, 30 days living out of a suit case! we spend a few nights up the Amazon river where we say Pink Dolphins! ... now we are down south, and tomorrow we are off the Cusco... when I can get on a computer again, I will drop in. Hope you all are well...
